What is INTERACTIVE STREAMING?
With Broadcasting or Live Webcasting, the viewer can only simply sit, watch and listen. Broadcasting and Live Webcasting is similar to watching TV or listening to the Radio. Its a one-way relationship, from the transmitter of the data to the viewer. The viewer has no say or input at all with regard to the
media being streamed.
Interactive Streaming is where both parties can receive and send streams at the same time. You interact with those streaming data to you by streaming back a video, audio or text. All this is done in Real-Time and Live.
What is
TWO-WAY INTERACTIVE STREAMING?
Simply put, it is a video-conference (being able to receive a video of someone talking, and you can also send a video back to them in response) over the internet. Or, you can type or text to them as they talk. That's 2-way Interactive Streaming, or a 1 to 1, or 1 to many live interactive relationship.
Imagine being able to receive a live video/audio of a politician talking about a subject. At the same time you can also type questions to him/her as he/she talks. You, along with 500 other people are watching the same video and also typing questions/comments to the politician, or, privately to each other.
